Drive time meditation

Luke 17:11-19

Today is the first day of a real vacation for us. As a awaken and start to delve into our final preparations and packing, the first thing on my mind, as it is most mornings is to give thanks and praise. We have been so blessed in so many ways. Even knowing we are blessed with what we have and how rare it is, is a true blessing. I could quite literally praise God from the moment I wake until the moment I lay my head back on my pillow.

How about you? What have you to give thanks for today or any day?  Only one of the nine cured lepers returned to say thanks and give praise to God. What have we to be thankful for? What have we been cured of?

As I drive the distance from here to there, surely part of my drive time meditation will be thanks to God.

Perhaps your drive time meditation, where ever your drive is to today, can be a time to give think, give thanks and to praise God

On the way to Jerusalem Jesus was going through the region between Samaria and Galilee. As he entered a village, ten lepers approached him. Keeping their distance, they called out, saying, ‘Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!’ When he saw them, he said to them, ‘Go and show yourselves to the priests.’ And as they went, they were made clean. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice. He prostrated himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus asked, ‘Were not ten made clean? But the other nine, where are they? Was none of them found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?’ Then he said to him, ‘Get up and go on your way; your faith has made you well.’
