Hitting the nail on the head

       The first thing I did was Google, "who wrote Isaiah?" and the answer magically appears. The answer is not truly important to me at this moment. I know that the authorship of Scripture is a compendium of authors that speak richly and intimately about a loving relationship with God.

       This passage from Isaiah hit the nail right on the head. THIS is what I want every single person to know. That God loves them so much that had they been the only person on earth Jesus still would have taken human form and still would have willingly been nailed to the cross - just for you.

          That is the essence of what I'd like to convey. It's what I want everyone, especially the marginalized and victimized, to know in every fiber of their being. KNOW God loves you in your heart, mind and soul. It is not for us to do all the understanding of why? or How could God love me? That may be beyond our understanding. But know it to be true. God created you, God loves you, God will never abandon you. It doesn't matter what religion you are either. God is far beyond our puny visions, machinations and creations.  God is not limited by how we see Her. God does not love you more or less because you are a Buddhist, or a Catholic  or a Muslim or a Jew. God simply loves you. Ok, not so simply because God loves each one of us enormously.  If you ask, how could God love the singular me out of the population of over 7.5 billion people? God is far bigger and more complex that 7.5 billion people or 7.5 billion universes.  Far, far beyond our comprehension.

       Our job is to sit. Be. Know. That God loves us as in Isaiah. Our job is to share that certainty and love and try our best to be in touch with the essence of God within us.  Be the prism that generates the rainbow of diversity, love and awe of creation.   Be still and know "I am".

Isaiah 43:1-7

But now thus says the Lord,
   he who created you, O Jacob,
   he who formed you, O Israel:
Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
   I have called you by name, you are mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
   and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you;
when you walk through fire you shall not be burned,
   and the flame shall not consume you.
For I am the Lord your God,
   the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.
I give Egypt as your ransom,
   Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you.
Because you are precious in my sight,
   and honoured, and I love you,
I give people in return for you,
   nations in exchange for your life.
Do not fear, for I am with you;
   I will bring your offspring from the east,
   and from the west I will gather you;
I will say to the north, ‘Give them up’,
   and to the south, ‘Do not withhold;
bring my sons from far away
   and my daughters from the end of the earth—
everyone who is called by my name,
   whom I created for my glory,
   whom I formed and made.’
